What is a Graduate Research Fellowship?

A Research Fellowship is offered when a university professor or research director has an opening for a graduate student to conduct a very SPECIFIC research project.

In most cases, a budget is already allocated to the research project so you are guaranteed funding and/or financial support during the length of the project (as specified in the fellowship description).

In general, you are looking at 2 years for a Masters, 3 to 4 years for a PhD and 1 to 2 years for Post-doctoral positions.

In the section below, you will find a comprehensive listing of all the Post-doc, PhD and Masters Research Fellowships offered by Canadian researchers/Universities.
