Graduate Fellowship Description
The University of Saskatchewan requests applications from Postdoctoral Graduate students for the available position of:
Contribute to the research program of the International Center for Northern Governance and Development.
The fields of interest for the fellowship will be to arrange a human improvement directory for North Saskatchewan. The fellow will likely be anticipated to be in residence at the University of Saskatchewan for the academic year and to take a leadership role in Center conferences and workshops.
The position is for one year with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance.
The objective of the position is to explore and research northern economic development.
Requirements of applicants are that they must have a PhD (or have a PhD defense date set) in economics, history, public policy, sociology, political studies, geography, environmental management, or a closely related field.
The successful candidate will provide evidence of internationally:recognized research capability, an emerging publication record, and a demonstrable interest in interdisciplinary research.
The University is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We have an actual activity complicated (PAC) which includes a 13,500 square feet health club, a three:way gymnasium along with a 42-ft Rock-climbing wall. Account to PAC is open to University of Saskatchewan individuals, college, personnel and alumni, as well as non-university or college staff taking care of campus.
We are known for our University observatory that provides the public with a view of our open night sky every Saturday night.
Interested individuals will be required to supply full curriculum vitae, a list of three references who have each agreed to submit a letter of reference on your behalf if requested, complete academic transcripts (at this stage, copies are acceptable), and a cover letter that addresses how you meet the qualifications and are suited for the responsibilities as described.
