Graduate Fellowship Description
The University of Alberta requests applications from PhD Graduate students for the available position of:
Fire science and fire ecology.
The fields of interest for the fellowship will be fire science and fire ecology.
The graduate student will be exposed to various topics in fireplace scientific disciplines and lots of lively experts in the area.
The objective of the fellowship is to understand the spatially heterogeneous fuel structure in managed forests and evaluate the effects of fuel heterogeneity on fire behavior.
Requirements of applicants are a valid driver`s license and good understanding in Forest ecology. Experiences in fire science and modelling will be an advantage.
The University is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We have a properly prepared fitness facility which can cater for 449 individuals. We also have certified staff serving the facility`s members.
