Graduate Fellowship Description
The University of Saskatchewan requests applications from Postdoctoral Graduate students for the available position of:
Investigate the metabolism of biologically active secondary metabolites.
The fields of interest for the fellowship will be Organic Chemistry or any related field.
The University prefers that candidates whose first language is not English to provide a certificate of English proficiency.
The objective of the development of these particular teqniques is to determine bio:activity (anti:fungal, antibacterial, phytotoxic, cytotoxic) of secondary metabolites.
Requirements of applicants are to have proven expertise in spectroscopic techniques necessary for chemical structure elucidation, particularly modern high field NMR spectroscopy and LC-MS. The required qualifications should be evidenced by a strong international publication record in the field.
The University is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We have an actual action sophisticated fitness center (PAC) that has a 13,500 sq feet and a 42-foot rock climbing wall. Adding to the center we have selections in aquatics, boogie, training and most specific desires.
We are known for that our university observatory that provides anyone with weekly viewings of the evening sky on weekends, at no cost.
