Graduate Fellowship Description
The Radiopharmacy and Targeted Radiopharmaceutical R&D group of the Department of Medical Imaging of the College of Medicine of the University of Saskatchewan is seeking applications for a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship in the development of targeted radioimmunoimaging and radioimmunotherapeutic agents. The ideal candidate would be proficient in developing novel techniques for bioconjugation of different radionuclides to biomolecules, radiopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical analysis techniques and molecular biology techniques for the characterization of protein/peptide conjugates and comfortable with working with animal models of cancer. Experience with microPET/SPECT/CT and optical imaging techniques would be a great advantage.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D, preferably within the last two years in one of the following areas: pharmaceutical sciences, molecular biology, radiopharmaceutical chemistry, nuclear medicine or chemistry.
Conditions:
The position is for two years with possibility of an extension. The suggested salary is $40,000-$45,000 CDN. Candidates are required to present their research at local and internal conferences in molecular imaging for which full financial support is available.
