Graduate Fellowship Description
The UVic-Genome BC Proteomics Centre is currently offering a fully-funded postdoctoral fellow position in our protein characterization division. The successful candidate will develop integrated assays for high-throughput and comprehensive characterization of the structure and PTM of proteins and protein complexes from complex biological samples, using top-down proteomics approaches with multi-dimensional LC separation. A wide array of advanced instrumentation is currently available including a Bruker 12 T FTICR-MS and a Thermo Orbitrap. The postdoctoral fellow will design and execute multiple research projects in fast-paced team environments, write scientific manuscripts and present novel research at international conferences. Extensive hands-on experience with LC separation of complex protein samples and LC-MS is required. Familiarity with proteomics database searching is a plus.
