Graduate Fellowship Description
The University of Saskatchewan requests applications from Postdoctoral Graduate students for the available position of:
How cells control the degradation of growth factor receptors.
The fields of interest for the fellowship will be Cellular Biology. The field of biology and continuing development of new treatments aimed at lowering receptor levels.
The University is also interested in the regulation of the PTEN tumor suppressor protein and have ongoing projects in this area. PTEN regulates tumor formation and is also important in type II diabetes.
The objective of the position is to reduce the aggressive growth properties of cancer cells that over-express growth factor receptors.
Requirements of applicants are that they must be Postdoctoral Graduate students.
The University is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We have a physical action advanced health center (PAC) that features a 13,500 sq. exercise floor, along with a 42-feet Rock climbing wall. Coordinating with the amenities are choices in aquatics, party, health and fitness and most special demands.
We are known for our University observatory that provides the public with viewing the open skies every Saturday night.
