Graduate Degree & Funding description
York's new PhD in Human Resources Management (HRM) is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide aspiring academics and senior-level professionals with the skills and credentials needed to excel in the HRM field. The admissions process for the PhD in HRM program at York is competitive. The program is open to graduates of recognized universities with a masters degree in HRM or in a related field, with a minimum B+ average. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity to undertake advanced study in the field.
All applicants must provide a statement of research interests and three letters of reference. They must also attend an interview. When physical distance poses a problem, interviews will be conducted via Yorks teleconferencing facilities.

Training opportunities and funding are provided through research assistantships in the student's field of study, teaching assistantships with relevant undergraduate programs and/or graduate assistantships with faculty members or research units.
At the time of offer of admission, qualified graduate students are provided with a guaranteed funding package for the duration of their program.
