Masters Degree-PHCNP
Graduate Degree & Funding description
The PHCNP program utilizes diverse learning modalities. Two of the 7 PHCNP courses are offered on-line, four require seminar attendance here at York, and five require clinical placements. Clinical placements for York University students are in the GTA only. Please see the map on the link to the NP website. All students will be required to travel to class and to clinical placements sites.
Admission Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (or equivalent such as a Bachelor of Nursing degree) from an accredited university program, with a minimum B average in the last two years of study. Be a member of College of Nurses of Ontario and hold annual registration payment card. Be a member of, and carry liability protection with, the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. Evidence of the equivalence of 2 years fulltime nursing practice as a Registered Nurse following graduation (= 3640 hours within the past 5 years).
