Graduate Scholarship Description
The Ontario Trillium Scholarship (OTS) program has been launched by the Ontario government as part of its initiative to attract top international students to Ontario universities for Ph.D. studies.
It will raise the profile and prestige of Ontario universities internationally, and contribute directly to Ontario’s economic performance by bringing highly educated individuals to the province. Because of the elite nature of this scholarship-recruitment program, international applicants who plan to enter full-time doctoral studies at an Ontario University and who fit the profile of a Trillium Scholar must be nominated by the Graduate Chair.

Additional important information
Students holding external funding (e.g., scholarships, third party tuition payments) are not eligible to be considered.

Be an international student ;
be intending to pursue full-time graduate studies at an eligible Ontario university at the doctoral level;
must have achieved an average of at least 8.0/10 (A-) in each of the two years of full-time study prior;
not be intending to enroll in a qualifying or make-up year;
not currently be studying at an Ontario post secondary institution at the undergraduate or graduate level, and;
not have concurrently accepted a scholarship or fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), or the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), or be in receipt of an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or Queen Elizabeth II - Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) award.
