Graduate Scholarship Description
The family and friends of Harold E. Welch have established an endowment fund in his memory.
The Manitoba Scholarships and Bursaries Initiative has made a contribution to this fund. Dr. Welch served as Head of the Department of Zoology at The University of Manitoba from August, 1965 to July, 1980.
From the income on this fund, an annual scholarship of $5,000 shall be offered to any student entering a graduate program (either M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in biological sciences, with a focus in animal biology, or who is in a first year of graduate study.
